About
Mission
Committed to supporting new parents with care that feels personal and meaningful. The focus is on guidance, education, and connection to help each family feel steady and supported. Every service is designed to nurture well-being and build confidence through the early days of parenthood.

The Story
At Idaho Postpartum Haven, I offer care and support for families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The early days and weeks after having a baby are a time of healing, bonding, and adjustment. This is when parents deserve to feel supported, confident, and cared for.

The idea for Idaho Postpartum Haven started in 2011, when I had my first child. Even with the support of my husband, family, and friends, I felt something was missing. Leaving the structure of the hospital and coming home with no guidance made me realize how wide the gap in care really is. That experience planted the seed for what would later become this space. I've created a place where families can feel held, prepared, and cared for during the transition into parenthood.

After years of working as a certified birth and postpartum doula, I saw that many families in Southeast Idaho were facing this same gap. Idaho Postpartum Haven was created to meet that need by offering doula services and a guest suite designed for rest, recovery, and meaningful support.

Many new mothers feel pressure to bounce back right away. That pressure can come from outside expectations or their own inner voice. It often overshadows the beauty of postpartum. My goal is to replace that pressure with care, guidance, and room to recover. I want every parent to feel capable, supported, and ready for whatever comes next.

March of Dimes
"Increased access to doula care, especially in under-resourced communities, can improve a range of health outcomes for mothers and babies, lower healthcare costs, reduce c-sections, decrease maternal anxiety and depression, and help improve communication between low-income, racially/ethnically diverse pregnant women and their health care providers.” View source

“Research by experts tells us what many have long suspected-that those new parents who have support and feel secure and cared for during this time are more successful in adapting than those who don't. We know that women who experience support...have greater breastfeeding success, greater self-confidence, less postpartum depression, and a lower incidence of abuse than those who do not." View source
